Adios Guam! Ciao Italia!
After 3 years, it is time we say Adios to Guam!
This island in the Pacific “Where America’s Day Begins” has been our first home as a married couple. Our first duty station. Where we lost our dog Piper. Where we adopted Mango & Dragon. Where we asked questions and learned about new cultures. Where we survived a super typhoon without power for 2 weeks. The place where we made forever friends and our “Guam family”.
We will miss the constant 85deg tropical weather year-round, authentic Asian food, clear blue ocean water, beaches 5 minutes away, hiking, waterfalls, the scenic drive down south, village festivals, and the Hafa Adai spirit.
Fun fact: Morgan studied abroad in Tuscany, Italy for Spring Semester 2013 of college. She has been dreaming of returning to live in Italy ever since. What’s that about answered prayers and manifestation?
We are excited about our next 3 year adventure to Sicily, Italy! Who knew we would be trading one island in the Pacific for an island in the Mediterranean?!
Once we are settled in our new home, we are hoping to host friends and families or at least meet you along your European adventures! We are grateful the time zone changes and flight times are easier to adapt to than Guam to say the least!
I fell off blogging while in Guam….but I am hoping to recount more of our adventures on Guam so as to catalog those memories while keeping everyone up to date with our current European adventure!
